The Whitby Rum is distilled with sea-buckthorn and pepper dulse then laid to rest in Madeira casks. The result is a mellow spiced rum with subtle charred orange, cinnamon overtones and caramel whispers.  

Strength: 40% ABV

Palate:This lightly spiced rum has candied plum overtones followed by caramel whispers. The powerful coastal flavours fade into a pleasantly spiced finish.

Nose: An initial aroma of scorched orange followed by elegant spiced overtones.

Whitby Dark Spiced Rum is distilled with oodles of cassia bark, cloves and sea buckthorn.

It is then laid to rest in Madeira wines casks. The result is a dark spiced rum with rich fruit overtones, molasses and treacle murmurs.

Strength 42% ABV

Palate: Aromatic fruits and treacle notes come through from the Madeira Wine Cask which is perfectly balanced with molasse sweetness. A touch of sea buckthorn brings out the orange citrus flavour.

Appearance: A deep golden glow.

Nose: Lightly spiced notes with a subtle hint of ripe fruitiness.

Whittaker's rvery special Award Winning Barley Mow Vodka. This is not like any vodka you have tasted. It is more like a white whisky. It is 42% ABV made from Yorkshire Barley. We put it through the brewing process but not adding any hops. It is then fermented for 5 days before being distilled through our 21 plate rectification column to produce this truly delicious Vodka.

It has malted barley and beer, earthy and subtle whisky notes on the nose and the palette. It has a warm and spicy taste with a long, warm, lingering after taste of malty beer. 

We called this product Barley Mow as the song The Barley Mow is a song celebrated in the traditions of the folk music of Ireland, England and Scotland. “The Barley Mow” has become a drinking song sung while comrades empty their glasses.
